Visit Greig Farm/ Hudson Valley Photographer

Fall has arrived and with it all the wonderful activities the Hudson Valley has to offer. I recently did a small video of my kids and their time there. There are a million spots to shoot in the fall as a Hudson Valley photographer, but a visit to Greig Farm in Red Hook, NY, https://www.thegreigfarm.com/ is a great place to start. They not only have a wonderful market and cafe, but tons of options for pick-your-own during the growing season, weekend events and goats galore.

Time of day, as usual, is a huge part of great image making, especially with kids when having them stand in the exact spot to combat the harsh lighting of midday can be a challenge. Plus, Greig Farm is a place to move and explore. We went on a weekday, which means we had the place to ourselves making it a lot easier to follow them around and get a shot without distractions.

Ok, is this videographer quality, absolutely not, is it a great capture of our afternoon together? Yes! The video was taken with my good ol' phone and edited with InShot, https://inshot.com/, which is a pretty great and intuitive photo/video editing app. Highly recommend! The stills, below, were taken with, yes, a pro grade camera, but anything will do when you're just looking to record the everyday.
